The Lefcoe Board of Trustees is now accepting applications for the Class of 2017.

The Vann H. Lefcoe Leadership Development Fund is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify and pre
pare individuals for leadership roles in the City of Portsmouth.  The course was founded in memory of Vann H. Lefcoe by the Trustees of the Lefcoe Foundation.  Since our inception in 1997, we have sponsored twenty leadership courses, graduating 480 individuals who serve our community in various capacities including serving on City Commissions and actively participating in civic organizations.

Mr. Don Comer serves as the course facilitator.  The course will begin Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. and meet once a week for twelve weeks, concluding on Wednesday, March 22.  The class is held in the Portsmouth Partnership Briefing Center within the TowneBank Financial Center on the corner of High and Crawford Streets in Olde Towne Portsmouth.

Enrollment is limited and the deadline for submitting the application is Friday, November 4, 2016.  The Trustees will notify applicants of their selection in late November.  Upon acceptance to the class, a $350.00 registration fee is due.  However, if this presents a financial burden, scholarships are available upon written request.  Please direct your questions to Bria Robinett at or 757-397-8473.

We look forward to receiving your application.
